About asana practice:
Translated, Yoga means ‘unity’. By physically practicing hatha yoga, you unify mind and body, and become aware of the interaction between the two. You practice sensing who you are energetically, what the effect of that state is on the body and vice versa. In doing so, you expand awareness. Yoga poses (asana) have physical, psychological and energetic effects. Ultimately, it is a preparation for meditation.
